Floodgates

Floodgates

CAMU offers a wide range of custom-designed sluice gates to meet every need,  developed according to the latest standards. Each sluice gate is entirely designed in 3D and subjected to rigorous testing through FEM and CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) flow simulators to ensure the maximum precision and efficiency.

CAMU offers a wide range of flood gates as needed and designed according to the latest standards:

Flat floodgates

Flat gates are regulating and closing devices for canals and pipelines, designed to slide vertically in order to control the flow of water. Made from corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel and painted or galvanized carbon steel, these sluice gates ensure a tight tightness thanks to high-quality neoprene or EPDM seals. Handling can be manual or automated through electromechanical or hydraulic systems, adaptable to the specific needs of the plant.

Fan gates

Ideal for controlling flows in large systems, fan gates are designed with a circular structure that rotates around hinges to modulate flow rate. Made of durable materials such as painted carbon steels, they offer effective seals with neoprene or EPDM gaskets. Side shields are generally made of stainless steel and allow the seals to slide. Handling is often hydraulic, but can also be customized with mechanical systems for precise and reliable flow management.

Sector gates are curved structures used to regulate large volumes of water, ideal for hydroelectric plants or reservoirs. Made of strong, corrosion-resistant materials, these sluice gates ensure tight seals through gaskets that follow the profile of the sluice. Handling is generally hydraulic, ensuring precise control even under high pressures.

Clapper gates function as check valves, automatically stopping the flow of water if the current is reversed. They are made of materials such as stainless steel or carbon steel to resist weathering and corrosion. The seals, usually made of neoprene or EPDM, ensure a
reliable closure. These sluice gates feature automatic handling, which uses the water pressure for operation, with no need for external power supply.

Bottom drains are designed to empty tanks and basins, allowing total water runoff. Constructed of treated steel, they withstand stress and extreme conditions. Special seals ensure a safe and reliable seal, while handling is primarily hydraulic or electromechanical, with remote control options for more efficient operation.

Generally, a floodgate consists of:
